Mr McNairn attended a seminar with Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha the pioneering Master of Taekwon-Do in the UK, and founder of the UKTA.
It was a unique opportunity, for Mr McNairn to once again train under the master who graded him to 2nd deg, and who he had not seen since the unfortunate demise of General Choi Hong Hi 9th Deg in 2002.
Master Rhee lived up to his reputation of being one of the hardest training and most knowledgeable masters in existence and was so very generous with his time.
He took time to share some of his many memories of his times with General Choi Hong Hi, including some stories that he had previously never told before.
It was an uplifting experience, and all who attended were truly inspired in his presence.
Mr McNairn would like to express his gratitude to Mr Hutton Vl Deg, for hosting the event in his pristine premises in East Kilbride, celebrating 20 years of East Kilbride Taekwon-Do. It was a truly memorable day and one which will live in the memory for many years to come.
